I took my knowledge learned from painting with tape and began on canvas using cityscape and seascape themes.

I include letters and numbers in my paintings. They add visual interest and symbolize my many years of working in publishing  and graphic design.

Subject matter was influenced by my many trips to Minneapolis, Ft. Myers Beach, and Lake Pepin near Lake City. While studying printmaking at Indiana University, I had a collection of pin ball images. Clowns were popular art work on pin ball machines in the 1970s.

Masking tape is used to keep edges sharp. Fast-drying acrylic paint allowed me to paint quickly. Matte varnish was used to eliminate reflection.
